This Sauvignon Blanc from our Horse Heaven Vineyard delivers aromas of citrus and green apple with lively herb spice notes. We used partial stainless steel fermentation to preserve the Sauvignon Blanc’s vibrant varietal character and fresh, crisp quality. For me, this wine represents the classic Washington style of Sauvignon Blanc with a crisp citrus character and a soft mouthfeel.

Wine Advocate
The white wines begin with the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc Horse Heaven Vineyard which contains 11% Semillon. It saw 78% of the wine fermented in stainless steel and 22% barrel fermented with sur lie aging for 1 month. Medium straw in color with aromas of citrus, fresh cut grass, and herbs with a hint of buttered popcorn in the background, on the palate it is crisp, lively, and concentrated. This well-balanced, medium-bodied effort will pair nicely with mussels and goat cheese over the next 1-2 years.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
